Personally, I can dig the time travel aspect, but I think the McCain camp is heading for the wrong era if it wants to take the voting public on an excursion through history?
Sure, us boomers remember the Weather Underground, Huey P. Newton, and the Black Panthers.
I get why you want to set the controls on the way-back machine for those glory days of Burn Baby Burn...I expect any day now, you guys Photoshop the head of Barack Obama onto that famous picture of the Panthers holding the rifles.
Psst...here's a hint: Obama is black? We got that already. I think America's now's got that part figured out, M-Kay?
Thing is, I think you have the controls set for about two decades too far back?
John, it really doesn't look like the radical sixties, it's more like the wild and wooly 1980s, which was the last time your WSJ/FreeMarket is God/ Ayn Rand is Goddess buds took the brakes off the car and their rich crony supporters drove it into a telephone pole.
It looks a lot more like the heyday of Lincoln Savings and Silverado, of Charles Keating and Neil Bush rather then of H. Rap Brown and Stokely Carmichael ?
If anyone is really interested in this truly gothic tale of naked greed, corruption, hubris, and outright theft, you will see that today's Credit Default Swap Commandos are just the progeny of the S&L thrift deregulation crowd, Charles Keating, Neil Bush and a really slimy cast of characters.
One of which was the Jr. Senator from Arizona, John Sidney McCain.
